What I can help with?
We can all experience difficulties with how we are feeling at times. This can be made worse by circumstances in our lives or particularly stressful situations. If the difficulties feel like they are persisting and you need support I can help with:
- Anxiety, including social anxiety, generalised anxiety, separation anxiety and panic
- Low mood and depression
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Dealing with traumatic experiences, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Managing stress
It may be that the difficulties you are experiencing overlap and this can be common. In my clinical work, I am often supporting children and young people who are neurodivergent, and helping to work together through challenging situations and upsetting feelings.
The initial assessment session is to help understand the current difficulties and what also would be the best way of supporting someone (e.g. for some children and young people, having a trusted person in the therapy room alongside them can help with feeling understood).
If you are worried that you may be at risk of harming yourself of having increasing thoughts of suicide, please access your nearest mental health service, as unfortunately I am not able to offer an emergency crisis or home treatment service. It can help to search for “mental health crisis team” in your local area and also to speak to your GP.
